Mid-Penn Football - Week 0 - Movers & Shakers

And with the first week of the 2017 Mid-Penn Football season in the books, it is time for the Wizard to quickly recap the big moments of the week -

Biggest Mover

The Steel-High Steamrollers lived up to their name with an opening week whooping of Morrisville. While The Wizard did have the Steamrollers as the favorite in this game, the 69-6 hurting that Steel-High put on Morrisville was not quite expected. The one-sided victory catapulted the Steamrollers to 2nd place in the Week 1 Power Rankings for the Mid-Penn Capital Division, catapulting them from 6th place in Week 0.

Most Powerful Win

There was no doubt what game was the most powerful game this week as Harrisburg Cougars took on Imhotep Charter. Imhotep was coming off of a 13-1 campaign from a year ago and Harrisburg was coming off of a 11-4 campaign. In addition to both teams oozing with Division 1 caliber talent, Harrisburg was returning all-world talent, Micah Parsons (DE/RB), a top 5 talent nationwide.

In the end Harrisburg flexed its muscles with Parsons leading the way with a rushing TD, solid defense and even handling the punting and kicking duties.

Most Powerful Individual Performance

One way to get the Most Powerful Individual performance is to lead your team to a victory in the Most Powerful Win of the week. That is exactly what Yahmir Wilkerson, the quarterback for Harrisburg did. Wilkerson lit up Imhotep Charter while passing for 322 yards and 4 touchdowns during Saturday’s 33-14 victory.
