The Wizard of Oddz breaks down the Week 2 High School Football results for the Mid-Penn Colonial Conference, as well as providing links to related articles and statistics.

Waynesboro 21 - Lancaster Catholic 24 - For a second straight week The Wizard of Oddz has had Waynesboro as the favorite in a game, and for a second straight week Waynesboro has failed to deliver. This time Waynesboro Indians lost a nail biter to Lancaster Catholic. The Indians will once again be heavily favored next week against Gettysburg (1-1) according to The Wizard of Oddz, hopefully the 3rd time is a charm for Waynesboro.

Greencastle 3 - Milton Hershey 41 - Greencastle traveled to Milton Hershey for a rare Saturday high school football game. However, Greencastle's offensive woes picked up where they left off last week against Chambersburg, as the Blue Devils were unable to find their way to the end zone for a second straight week. The road to the end zone does not get any easier for the Blue Devils as they face powerhouse East Pennsboro next week. East Pennsboro has a Power Ranking of 112.75, higher than any team in the Mid-Penn Colonial Division.

Big Spring 49 - Biglerville 7 - Big Spring performed a complete 180 from last weeks loss to East Pennsboro, by putting a hurting on Biglerville. Big Spring scored early and often, taking a 21 point lead out of the first quarter and they never looked back. Big Spring was lead by Ryan Adams' 3 rushing touchdowns and electric 18 yard average per rush.

James Buchanan 10 - Fairfield 57 - It was a tale of two days. The James Buchanan vs. Fairfield game was suspended due to a loss of electricity as Fairfield led 15-0 on Friday. The game resumed on Saturday, but the results were nearily identical as Fairfield added another 42 to finish off the Rockets.

Mifflin County 14 - Cedar Cliff 40 - Mifflin County fell behind 0-40 before adding two late touchdowns in a game that was never in doubt. And things will not be getting any easier as the Mifflin County heads to State College (2-0) next week for a match up against a strong AAAAAA team. The conference schedule cannot get here soon enough for the Huskies.

Northern York 0 - Middletown 33 - Middletown ran wild on the Polar Bears amassing 300 yards on the ground at a 9 yard per clip average, while also out muscling the Polar Bears on defense, not allowing Northern York to sniff the end zone. Fortunately, Northern York is in store for a much more favorable match up next week against Mechanicsburg (0-2).

Shippensburg 20 - Chambersburg 7 - Shippensburg knew they weren't in for a game against the old Chambersburg of last year, after Chambersburg's impressive week 1 victory over Greencastle - though The Wizard had Shippensburg as a 70% chance of victory Friday night. However, Carter Van Scyoc was able to manage the game wisely with an efficient 12-16 (comp-att) through the air. And let the ground and pound of Phillip Torres and Adam Houser do the rest as Shippensburg improves to 2-0 and sits alone at the top of the Colonial Division.

West Perry 7 - East Pennsboro 39 - The Wizard of Oddz gave East Pennsboro an 84% chance of winning this game, and East Pennsboro didn't let the Wizard down. East Pennsboro ran left, right and through West Perry as they racked up 300+ yards rushing on the night. The loss dropped West Perry to 7th in the Week 3 Power Rankings, just ahead of Mifflin County.

The Wizard of Oddz Results - For a 2nd straight week The Wizard was 6 - 2 in predicting game results. Once again Waynesboro's slow start to the season resulted in a missed pick for the Wizard. In addition, the Wizard didn't see Big Spring's big win in their future. Big Spring's Week 2 win moved them up in the Week 3 Power Rankings to the number 2 overall spot.
