Waynesboro 14 - Red Lion 38 - Waynesboro came into the season with a lot of momentum from a 3 game winning streak to end the 2015 season and the top spot in the preseason Wizard of Oddz Power Rankings. However, The Wizard of Oddz called this a toss up, as Waynesboro was playing a tough Red Lion team. In the end Red Lion proved too much for Waynesboro to handle.

Greencastle 0 - Chambersburg 20 - Greencastle traveled to Chambersburg to face a team that while playing at the AAAAAA level, had only 1 win in the prior year. The Wizard of Oddz predicted Greencastle as the favorite in this one. However, Chambersburg matches its win total from last year with an early season victory against Greencastle.

Big Spring 21 - East Pennsboro 49 - Big Spring had an uphill battle against a stellar East Pennsboro team. East Pennsboro asserted its dominance and as The Wizard of Oddz projected, came home with a big win.

James Buchanan 36 - Hanover 55 - James Buchanan is one of three teams in the Mid-Penn Colonial that was in the midst of a double digit losing streak and The Wizard of Oddz predicted an easy victory for a powerful AA Hanover team. While the score may be deceiving, this one was never in doubt for Hanover, as James Buchanan mounted a bit of comeback once the subs entered the game.

Mifflin County 24 - Williamsport 61 - Another long season appears to be in the making for Mifflin County as Williamsport takes care of business with a 34 point 2nd quarter outburst and extends Mifflin County's losing streak to 19.

Northern York 14 - Susquehannock 12 - The Wizard of Oddz thought that the Northern York game was going to be a toss up and true to form this one was a nail biter. A failed two point conversion late in the 4th by Susquehannock was the difference here.

Shippensburg 42 - Dover 6 - Shippensburg looks to make a run at the Colonial Division championship this year and makes a statement in an easy week 1 victory.

West Perry 7 - Palmyra 35 - As predicted by the Wizard of Oddz, Palmyra, who already had a win under their belt going into the season opener for West Perry, was able to handle West Perry with ease, not allowing a score until the final minutes of the game.

The Wizard of Oddz Results - The Wizard was 6 - 2 this week in predicting game results. The Wizard did not see Chambersburg's handling of Greencastle coming. However, the other miss was on the Waynesboro game, which The Wizard gave a slight advantage to, but considered the game a toss up. Otherwise, The Wizard was spotless, including an accurate close call on the Northern York game.
